Be Well-Acne Treatments

Adult acne can be just as bad as teenage breakouts, but there are ways to treat it. Causes vary including genetics, hormones, environment and diet. Older adults and specifically women experience hormonal acne along the jawline and chin. See a dermatologist if breakouts stick around. Treatments include over-the-counter creams and lotions, and higher-strength oral medications. Most importantly, don't pick your pimples because it'll make scarring worse, especially in darker-skinned people. Treat acne discoloration with exfoliating face washes. Build a strong support system and remember that true friends see you for who you are, not how you look.
